Hidden Figures


The Hidden Figures project celebrates the often-unseen individuals who form the backbone of Rowan University, from public safety officers ensuring our security to construction workers shaping the campus’s future. These dedicated individuals perform essential roles that often go unnoticed, yet their efforts sustain the university community in countless ways. Drawing inspiration from the socially conscious photography of Lewis Hine, this project uses portraiture to bring their stories and contributions to the forefront. By highlighting their humanity and labor, Hidden Figures invites viewers to reflect on the vital roles these individuals play and fosters a deeper appreciation for the people who quietly make our daily lives possible.
